Spiraea betulifolia 'Tor' is een brede opgaande heester. In de maanden mei en juni bloeit hij uitbundig met witte bloemen. Zijn blad is eirond en gekarteld. In de herfst kleurt het bladerdek dieprood. Spierstruik 'tor' leent zich goed tot gebruik in openbaar groen. Verlangt een plaats in volle zon of halfschaduw op een vruchtbare bodem die ook in de zomer vochtig is.
