Chaenomeles sup. 'Crimson and Gold'

Chaenomeles x superba 'crimson and Gold', this ornamental quince species is small-growing and has a low, broad growth form. blooms in early spring (March, April), with beautiful bright red flowers on the naked perennial wood. In autumn, fragrant yellow fruits follow that look a bit like apples and are useful for the production of jam, juice, wine.... Pruning is not often necessary, but the best period is in any case after flowering.
