Philadelphus Coronarius Aureus is een middelgrote, bladverliezende boerenjasmijn met een bossige, opgaande en brede vorm. De bladeren zijn geel. Van mei tot juni bloeit deze philadelphus met witte bloemen. Boerenjasmijn doet het goed in zon en halfschaduw en is niet selectief wat de ph van de bodem betreft zolang deze maar goed doorlatend en voldoende vruchtbaar is. Deze plant is onderhoudsarm en attractief voor bijen en vlinders.
