Osmunda regalis

Osmunda regalis, also known as king fern, is one of the largest, native ferns. The growth habit is ascending, with a loose pol. This fern has double-sprung, fresh green leaves, which start somewhat rosy in the spring. This majestic fern likes a sheltered location (from the wind) in partial shade or shade and a well-drained, humus-rich, moist to soggy soil.
